OK Go @ the Oxford Art Factory

It was a gig I had won tickets to, truth be told i don't think i would have split with my hard earned cash to see them otherwise. I had listened to their latest album of the blue colour of the sky and enjoyed some of the booty shakers it contained but with not enough room to fit 8 treadmills on the stage of The Oxford Art Factory would they really be all that entertaining or would it be one of those gigs where everyone would just be waiting for the one song they know?

18th of February, 2010

Bounding out of the blocks with "White Knuckles" the boys lead by Kulash did exactly what they did best, entertained. They went about pulling out one crowd pleasing trick after another from their marvelously well tailored sleeves. They filled the room full of confetti, played an entire song on the bells, Damian joined the crowd and serenaded all with. They had Jackets that light up in a human line spelling OK GO, glowing guitars and swooning banter to an already melted crowd.

They may not have had the most insightful lyrics or deep life changing themes to their music but no longer were they just 'OK Go the well choreographed guys from the treadmill film clip' they were all round entertainers and talented musicians. They were worth more than every cent i hadn't paid to see them.
